Things to Know About Bringing Cats:

Space is limited. First come, first serve is our guideline, but there can be exceptions. Exceptions include In-heat or pregnant females. Pets of people on public assistance or low-income are our TOP PRIORITY. Spay Station staff has complete discretion as far as admittance.

  • Because surgery on dogs requires more time and recovery space for dogs is limited, we generally allow 1 dog and 2 cats per household per day. However, you are welcome to bring additional pets in the event that not all of our surgery space will fill.
  • Kittens must be at least 3 lbs. or 3 months old.
  • Pet owners must bring 1 towel per cat. They will be returned that day. If an owner's towel becomes soiled, we sometimes return a different towel in its place. Please do not bring towels that you would be distressed to not have returned.
  • Anesthesia can be hard for older animals to handle. Blood work is recommended for pets over 5 years of age and required for pets, 8 years or older. Please bring results that are no more than 2 weeks old with you the day of surgery. Our veterinarian has the right to turn away any pet if they feel blood work is needed prior to surgery.
  • No food or water after midnight the night before surgery except 4 month old kittens which should be fed and given water, up to half their usual amount.
  • Each cat must have its own carrier, sturdy box or pillowcase. Kittens under 4 months old may come in the same carrier.
  • Bring cash for services, payable at boarding only.
  • Yes! Feral cats are welcome. Please call to discuss. 360-733-6549 or 360-733-7945.
